But that investment in labor increased service labor for our guests, and our increased hospitality training is working because we have now seen for fourteen straight months our NPS score comp from the prior year.
On the hospitality front, our Net Promoter Score is climbing, and we're leading it hard. We're creating a national field trading team, launching enhanced guest service training and sending senior operators to executive education programs.
Our Net Promoter Score was 74 in the quarter, up from 72 a year prior. We saw improved scores driven by the enhanced food experience as we've rolled out the new food menu to our retail business.
Our NPS is up. It has gone from 62 to 65 in the past six months, which is meaningful for us.
We also saw meaningful increases in Net Promoter Score results, which was the other part of the goal. So we're about to lap that.

About these figures
Every figure here was publicly disclosed by the named company: press releases, annual reports, SEC filings, earnings calls and news coverage. Companies tend to publish their NPS when it is good, so these numbers run higher than a true industry average: read them as what leading companies in this vertical say publicly, not as an industry benchmark.
NPS runs from −100 to +100. Retention figures are reported as the company defines them (net revenue retention, gross revenue retention, customer retention rate, churn). Every entry links to its source in the full database.
